HeInput: Chinese Study & Input 7.0

The HeInput application, part of the HeChinese Series, offers an integrated approach to learning and typing Chinese characters. The series includes HeCharacter, HeBook1, HeBook2, and an upcoming HeBook3, all available via the App Store.

After installation, users should navigate to Settings, then General, Keyboard, and select 'Add New Keyboard.' From the third-party keyboards list, choose 'iHeInput' to set HeInput as the primary input method for iOS 8 and later devices. This enables seamless access to the system input method for study and practice within the app.

HeInput provides an efficient pathway for mastering Chinese writing and inputting characters. For beginners, starting with HeCharacter available on the App Store can facilitate initial learning. Additional study materials and software are accessible at www.HeZi.net.

The application employs a progressive, step-by-step approach to self-training. It features comprehensive instructions, explanations, prompts, as well as card-based and text practice modes. The latter stages include phrase coding and article practice, designed to reinforce learning through practical application.

This method significantly enhances the ability to learn Chinese words swiftly and effectively. It is especially suitable for teenagers who can expect to grasp fundamental skills in about three hours, enabling them to analyze, decompose, and type all Chinese words proficiently.

HeInput is designed for all Chinese learners and users, supporting both Simplified and Traditional Chinese scripts. Its widespread adoption attests to its versatility for educational purposes and everyday typing needs.

The input method can support typing up to 21,003 words—though only around 3,500 are used daily—and 180,000 phrases. Key features include code prompts, Pinyin suggestions, word search by code or Pinyin, linked typing functions, and options for adding personal phrases.

Additionally, HeInput utilizes a unique encoding system based on 26 numbers formed with digits 1 through 6 to represent English alphabet characters. The application offers training tools and functionalities supporting English typing as well.
